On Saturday, June 12, 2010, Flat Iron Cafe is pleased to present a unique new duo to our roster of Saturday night music events.
Paramusia is a new guitar/flute/vocal acoustic duo formed in 2009 by two experienced singer-musicians who each contribute their own flair and taste to create a unique musical experience that has something for everyone. From flute and guitar instrumentals to folk, folk rock, Celtic, ethnic, pop and oldies, Ann and Steve utilize their vocal harmonies and instruments to create a fun and entertaining performance that defies classification.
Ann Cavanaugh, from Middleboro, holds a degree in Fine Arts – Music Education and has taught music in public and private schools and in private lessons. She sings and plays flute in her church choir and is a member of the South Shore Bay Band where she plays alto sax. Her recent experience includes performing as a minstrel at King Richard’s Faire.
Steve Gabovitch, hailing from Sharon, Mass., has performed publicly in acoustic groups over the last ten years in area pubs, restaurants, and private events, most recently as a member of the acoustic/electric duo Reasonable Facsimile and trio Triglycerock. He’s been playing guitar for over four decades.
